Compassionate and Friendly Office
Digital Imaging
Dr. Schmitt chooses carefully which and when radiographs are taken. Radiographs allow us to see everything we cannot see with our own eyes. Radiographs enable us to detect cavities in between your teeth, determine bone level, and analyze the health of your bone. We can also examine the roots and nerves of teeth, diagnose lesions, such as cysts or tumors, as well as assess damage when trauma occurs.
teeth whitening services.

Dr. Schmitt utilizes DIGITAL IMAGING TECHNOLOGIES within the office. With digital imaging, exposure time is about 50 percent less than when compared to traditional radiographs. Since the image is electronic, we can quickly and easily transfer them to specialists or insurance companies. Digital x-rays offer less radiation to patients, are quickly transferable, and use no processing chemicals, which helps to preserve our environment.

Intraoral Cameras
An intraoral camera is a tiny camera that allows us to see a clear, precise image of your mouth, teeth, and gums. This is so we can accurately make a diagnosis. Especially in the back of a patient's mouth, Dr. Schmitt uses the intraoral camera to show patients "what she sees" in diagnosing disease and making treatment recommendations. Intraoral cameras enable us to save your images to provide a permanent record of treatments. These images can be printed for you, other specialists, and insurance companies.
Laser Dentistry
Laser Dentistry is the best choice for patients who do not look forward to needles, drilling, or numbness. Dr. Schmitt uses the laser to find hidden decay in teeth in the early stages, and in some cases, the decay can be reversed through hygiene and fluoride treatment – and may never need a filling!
Areas of dental care that benefit from laser technology:
- Cavity diagnosis and removal
- Curing or hardening bonding materials
- Periodontal or gum-related care
- Surgery of gum tissue and bone
- Whitening teeth

Painless Shots – The Dental Wand
If your dental treatment requires anesthetic (numbing.) Dr. Schmitt is proud to offer her patients the "Dental Wand" that anesthetizes one tooth at a time. Since there is no syringe, children are not afraid- and they do not feel anything! The wand is used only in the area of the tooth being treated. Thus, we eliminate the heavy face, lip, and tongue sensations. Most patients do not feel anything as they are getting numb. Ninety-five percent of patients say, "That was the best shot I have ever had!"
Patient Comfort and Convenience
Chair Side Monitors and Televisions - Many patients, especially younger patients, are familiar with the latest technology and comfortable with the high-tech practice computers and TV screens. We have Smart TVs for your convenience. We store all our patient charts electronically, allowing quick and easy access to your information. Also, we are proud to be paperless, which helps protect our environment!
Massaging Dental Chairs - For relaxation, we have the most comfortable dental chairs that massage! Enough said!
Infection Control - Dr. Stacy Schmitt and our entire team follow rigorous infection control procedures to protect you and your family. We have an in-office state-of-the-art sterilization center to sterilize all reusable equipment. Our autoclave kills bacteria and viruses by steam, heat, and pressure. Protecting our patients is important; we frequently take continuing education courses to update our infection control practices.
